Our Netson Lake outpost wilderness log cabin is located 50 air miles southwest of Muncho Lake and is only accessible by float plane. The Netson Lake valley is nestled in the Muskwa Range at the very northern tip of the Rocky Mountains.

Our Netson Lake outpost wilderness log cabin is located 50 air miles southwest of Muncho Lake and is only accessible by float plane. The Netson Lake valley is nestled in the Muskwa Range at the very northern tip of the Rocky Mountains.
Located on Netson Lake, this cabin offers ample opportunity for Lake Trout fishing and fly fishing for Arctic Grayling and Bull Trout. Adjacent to the cabin is a lovely fresh water mountain stream.
Motorboats and a canoe invite you to explore the lake and observe Moose, Beaver, Caribou, Ducks, Bald Eagles and a multitude of other local animals in their natural habitat. It is not uncommon to see Moose feeding in the shallow bays of Netson Lake during the summer months. The midnight sun of summer illuminates the northern sky – a fantastic view is observed through the panoramic window of the cabin.

This world class fishing area is accessible for both fishing enthusiasts and novices. Netson Lake is one of our easiest fishing spots, with a stream running right beside the cabin. Catch a fish, it’s only a matter of feet to the nearest frying pan. You can’t get fish any fresher! Netson Lake plays host to Lake Trout, Arctic Grayling, Bull Trout and Burbot. Netson lake has proven to be one of our most beloved fishing spots.
Netson Lake outpost cabin is open from late May to early October
Late May to late June: Nature is awakening, the leaves are sprouting, enjoy almost 24 hours of daylight. For fishermen June is undoubtedly the best month to spin cast in Netson Lake for Lake Trout
June until mid August: Temperatures can reach 25 ° C during the daytime. Many Moose feed on the lakes vegetation. Arctic Grayling in huge abundance for the fly fisherman or spin caster in the stream only steps from the cabin.
Mid of August / September: Northern Lights are frequently observed. Fall colors are at their peak. Big bull Moose frequent the lake during mating (rutting) season. The colors are the most beautiful early through mid September. Fishing is great for Arctic Grayling. Lake Trout come up into the shallows to spawn in late September.
Early October: The first snow flakes signal the imminent arrival of winter in the Netson Lake Valley. The nights grow dark, perfect for stargazing and Northern Lights.
